Dave Cameron

Also known as Elvis Jerome, The Godfather

Wrestling Heritage welcomes memories, further information and corrections.

A colourful wrestling personality from Huddersfield who emerged onto the professional wrestling scene in the early 1970s. We came across him for the first time working for Ron Farrar’s Ace Promotions. Dave took on a number of personas including an Elvis identity and The Godfather. After a good grounding in the smaller halls of independent promoters in the North East he was signed by Max Crabtree to work for Joint Promotions, where he assumed the Godfather persona. Dave disappeared fromour radar in 1980,only to return in 1983 in two televised contests, under the Elvis Jerome guise, against Pete Ross and Eddie Riley.

We are indebted to photographer Mal Seddon for allowing us to use this splendid photo.
