The Flying Falcon

Alan Beament was born in wartime Britain, Poole in Dorset in 1940. An interest in wrestling led to Alan working on the fairground booths of the West country. This could bring in decent money but was hard work, taking on a variety of opponents multiple times a day.

When it came to working the professional circuit Alan adopted the name The Flying Falcon. He worked semi-professionally for about a decade, from the mid 1960s he worked the rings of southern England.

During the summer months The Falcon worked the holiday camp circuit, Butlins and Pontins, working two or three matches a day. His son Neil told Wrestling Heritage at Wimborne and seeing dad with Kendo Nagasaki, Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks.
