Sarah Bridges was no wrestler, but her place in the Wrestlers Reunion is as worthy as any other inductee. For twenty years Sarah, as wife of wrestler Wayne Bridges, was hostess of the British Wrestlers Reunion. The adage of a great woman behind a great man was certainly true and Sarah did much of the background work to the Reunion.
Sarah was also famed in her own right. From her early twenties she was a competitive body builder, in 1992 coming second in her first competition and shortly afterwards winner of the “Stars of Tomorrow” competition. As East Midlands champion Sarah went on to the British championships in 1996 and was placed eighth. In addition to competing Sarah was also influential as she travelled the country giving nutrition and training advice.
