Harold Weller was the owner of Action Promotions, promoting British wrestling from 1978 to 1990. A member of the British Wrestling Alliance.
No other lady wrestler had the humour and charisma of Goldie Wells. If there was a female equivalent of Les Kellett, then Goldie’s your girl.
Goldie mixed her superb wrestling skill with a brilliant sense of humour that had fans on the edge of their seats, while rolling in the aisles with laughter.
Apart from the laughs this bubbly blonde was an excellent wrestler.
In 1985 Goldie defeated Jodie Lee before a packed house to emerge BWA Ladies champion.
Miss Wells successfully defended her belt until her retirement in1987.
Goldie had her share of injuries but her skill, humour and dedication to wrestling made her one of the most popular BWA wrestlers that graced their rings.
