Tommy Heyes was known to professional wrestling fans as Gene Riscoe.

His real passion in life was as a master of catch wrestling and a historian tracing the sport back to it’s roots.

Tommy Heyes was a legendary figure in wrestling and a beloved coach at the famous Billy Riley’s Gym in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. Born in Aspull, Wigan, besides teaching wrestling, he dedicated his life to researching and preserving history of his beloved sport that of a Lancashire catch as catch can wrestling until he passed away in 2020.
